The Junior Vacation Program (known in some areas as a Summer Camp or Summer Language and Culture Program) is for students aged 10-15 years who would like to experience Canadian language and culture while developing their English language skills. In the morning, students study English in a traditional classroom setting. In the afternoon, students practise their English skills while doing activities that focus on Prince Edward Island’s culture, history, or natural beauty.
What is special about the Junior Vacation Program?
Students focus on learning to communicate in English. The afternoons are full of fun, educational activities. Our homestay families drive students to school and pick them up after class. All Junior Vacation students stay with host families. Our families are carefully screened by our homestay placement coordinator. We carefully select instructors and leaders who enjoy working with teenagers.
